All about Jukebox Country
Jukebox Country is a music group that specializes in great classic country music. We are based out of the Athens, GA, area. We perform covers of great country music from the 80s and 90s. Though we may stray outside of those eras occasionally, it is the music that we love and hope that you do too.
The band in its current lineup started in February 2024. After pulling together some former "road dog" veterans, the band began to gel around the classic country format.
Doyle McCallister - Drums - Origially from Hamilton County, TN, his country music roots run deep. Doyle began playing drums at age 5 in a family gospel group. He moved on to country music playing with several local bands. In 1996, Doyle decided to try the Nashville music scene. He began playing in Nashville clubs: Barbara Mandrel's, Roberts Western World, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, and others. Along the way he played shows with David Frizzel, Gene Watson, John Anderson and many others. Country music is a traditon with Doyle. This shows in the way he plays and the songs he chooses. He is helping keep tradtional country music alive by staying true to his roots and keeping it country!
Larry Williams - Lead Guitar, Vocals - From Augusta, GA. The son of a country music recording artist, Larry has had music around him non-stop since birth.
